This program is a fantastic way for families to connect in a fun, creative and supportive environment. You don’t need any previous experience or special music talent to participate, this is judgement free music for all abilities! You will get first-hand experience of the effect of music interactions with your child, and will be supported to develop the confidence to re-create this at home.
The program is run by a Registered Music Therapist (RMT), so it is informed by music therapy research and practice. Both parents and kids take the lead in these sessions, giving everyone the opportunity to engage comfortably. Sessions will include movement, play, positive touch, responsive interactions, soothing, sensory exploration, stories and an opportunity to chat and play. The program will be tailored to the families participating based on ages, interests, strengths and developing skills.
