Kay has been in Homeopathy practice for over 12 years and has a particular interest in women’s and children’s health. Kay has provided safe and effective care for general complaints as well as those specifically related to pregnancy, labour, and the post-natal period. Her experience includes treating morning sickness, ligament pain, heartburn, varicose veins and constipation in pregnancy; pre-birth preparation to support natural child birth, and providing birth kits to assist with labour, after pains and general recovery from childbirth. Homeopathy can also be very effective in turning babies pre-birth or in getting labour started in situations where either nothing is happening or the labour stops and starts but fails to establish.
She also has experience in treating many of the issues that can occur in the post-natal period ranging from painful haemorrhoids, mastitis and thrush, to the persistent low mood or ongoing exhaustion that some mothers experience postnatally.
Newborn babies, toddlers and older children all respond very well to homeopathic remedies and find them very easy to take, either dispensed as drops or as sugar pills.
Kay enjoys treating children and also educating parents in the use of homeopathy to treat minor complaints for both themselves and their children. More recently, she has written “Homeopathic Medicine for Children” – a reference guide for treating the common complaints of childhood, which provides simple, straightforward instructions so parents can gain confidence in successfully using a range of homeopathic remedies to treat their children for minor illnesses.
In her practice she sees a wide range of conditions from acute complaints such as coughs & colds, teething pain, colic and gastro to more chronic or recurring conditions such as sinusitis, hay fever, hormonal disorders, digestive disorders, fatigue, anxiety and other mental/emotional states.
