Post-Natal Pilates!
Why Pilates for pregnancy?
Pilates builds your core strength by strengthening the back, abdominals and pelvic floor muscles. These all help support your changing posture during pregnancy and decrease the likelihood of backache and pains. Pre natal Pilates is adaptable, so the exercises can be modified to accommodate for particular needs or for your stage of pregnancy. Practising Pilates throughout pregnancy, even for short periods of time, will help with relaxation and de-stressing. It is also a great way to meet other mums-to-be!
In the first few months after having your baby, it is important to work on postural changes that occur from nursing and carrying your little one around. Post natal Pilates focuses on strengthening the pelvic floor and deep abdominal muscles. We hope you leave feeling not only stronger and leaner but also vibrant and energised. Pilates is a great way to get back into shape and will keep your core strong, preparing you for lifting and carrying your little bundles of joy.
