I am a mother of three children, who are becoming more self-sufficient now with two sons in their 20s, and one teenage daughter. I have worked as a midwife for more than 25 years, (in Australia and UK) having trained initially as a general nurse but always had a passion for midwifery. Having had 3 very different experiences with my own births, I believe it is essential for a midwife to be flexible to the individual needs of women and their families. I like to get to know women in their journey to motherhood and enjoy nothing more than being alongside them on their path. Being a midwife for me is about being with women, allowing them to make their own choices in all spectrums of pregnancy, birth and beyond.
