I am a Registered Music Therapist (RMT) with a strong interest in supporting positive relationships, mental health and community connection with expectant and newly grown families. My first experience of observing and practicing music therapy was at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane in the infant oncology ward, which began a curiosity in the early years of life that continued throughout my studies. I graduated from my Masters in Music Therapy in 2014, moved to Melbourne with my partner and have since worked with kids and families during early childhood, young people (5-18 years old) and education teams in specialist education, and families and older adults in aged care facilities.
I’m excited to offer music therapy at MAMA because music is such an empowering tool for parents to use with their kids and for themselves. I have a compassionate, resource-oriented approach, and tailor programs to each family’s strengths and needs.
