VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Caesarean Section)
If you’re pregnant again after having a caesarean section last time, we aim to arm you with the knowledge and wisdom to make the best decision for you and your family.
Did you know that most women who have had a caesarean can go on to have vaginal births – there is a high success rate (72-89%)!
Many women are told that a repeat caesarean is safer than a VBAC, which is not true in most cases. In fact, we know there are risks associated with multiple caesarean sections. Among other reasons, women choose VBACs for the sense of achievement at having gone through labour and birth when their baby was ready, and for the quicker recovery time.
