The 4th trimester is the concept that the first three months of a baby’s life, are really in many ways, like an extension of their time inside the womb. In this 2 hour comprehensive workshop, you will learn about how newborns behave and why, many ways to settle your baby by recreating the familiar womb environment, settling while out and about, babywearing/baby carrying, sleep rescues and what to do if all else fails! Safe Sleep guidelines, sleep & settling equipment, baby bedding, swaddling options and sleeping bags also covered. And how over time, you can help your baby adapt to their new life in the outside world. Facilitated by an Nurse Early Parenting Educator, trained in Newborn Behavioural Observation. Expectant parents and parents of babies 3 months and under are welcome. Midwifery students are also welcome to attend.
